Before lauching Warnygo, we recommend that you pin it on your start screen so you can see the number of unread warnies in your warnybox and easily visualize when you receive a new warny:
When you first connect to your account, you land on the start screen:
On the start screen, you can see three elements:
• warnybox: display your last warnies received
• last warnies: display the last warnies sent in the world
• most active: display the most sent warnies in the world
You can see four buttons in the application bar:
• warnybox: open your warnybox to visualize read, unread and sent warnies
• send warny: allows you to send a subscribed warny directly from the start screen
• warnyplace: this is where you can subscribe to events (warnies) that interest you
• warnymap: navigate the world map to see events all around the world
On your first connection the main thing to do is to browse or search the Warnyplace to subscribe to warnies. Basically the Warnyplace is like a Marketplace for warnies:
Let's say that you want to be warned if an actor is near you. You will then subscribe to the warny Actor. The file for the warny actor looks like the following:
You can see three elements:
• details: give details on the warny. Subscribers count, sent count, creator
• last warnies: display the last warnies of this kind sent in the world with possibility to visualize it on the warnymap
• subwarnies: children warnies of the warny. For example the warny actor have warnies american actor and french actor as subwarnies. Subwarnies allows you to filter the warnies you want to receive. Maybe you don't want to receive all the actor warnies, but only american actor. In this case you just need to subscribe to the warny american actor
You can see four buttons in the application bar:
• subscribe: subscribe to the warny and select zones where you want to be warned
• send warny: allows you to send a warny from its file
• pin: pin this warny to your phone, and access it directly from your start screen
• share: share this warny with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
When you press the subscribe button you land on the following screen:
This is where you select the zones where you want to be warned. For the warny actor, if you select the zone My location, you will be warn only if an actor is around you.
For the warny actor you must pick at least one zone, because it may occur simultaneously in diffrent locations at the same time.
If you want to add new zones from this screen, you can press the button Manages my zones.
Once subscribed you return to the following screen:
You can still see four buttons in the application bar but one is different:
• edit: edit your subscribtion and its zones
Once the send warny button pressed, Warnygo will try to find your location in order to indicate where the warny is happening:
At this time you can see a circle with its center. This is where Warnygo has located you. The circle radius may be greater or lesser depending on the accuracy to which Warnygo locates you. This may vary if you are inside a building. You can press the location button to refresh your location and try to get a better accuracy. Try to go outside if you can.
You can see two elements:
• details: give details on the event
• medias: only visible if a picture is sent with the warny
You can see four buttons in the application bar:
• reliable: the received warny was reliable (This action is only visible if you received the warny)
• unreliable: the received warny was unreliable (This action is only visible if you received the warny)
• share: share this warny with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• go: get the directions to go to the warny from your location
Warnygo allows you to create zones in order to limit the reception of your Warnies.
On the start screen, select the menu item my zones:
You can see four buttons in the application bar:
• create zone: create a new zone
• home/work zone: create a zone representative of where you live/work
• edit: allows you to edit one of your zones
• delete: allows you to delete one of your zones
You can see three buttons in the application bar:
• search: search a location by its name. For example a city or a street
• create zone: create a zone circle
• save: show the dialog box to save a zone
On the start screen, select the menu item my settings:
Press the edit button to update the following settings:
• warnies notification service: enable/disable the notification service. This service allows you to receive warnies notification like a text message, even if Warnygo is not started
• send my location in background: enable/disable the sending of your location in background. Your location is sent to our services every 30 minutes so that you can receive warnies that are in your location reception radius
Important note about this setting:
If you enable this setting, you have to launch Warnygo at least every 10 days. If you do not, the system consider Warnygo as an unused application and will automatically disable the sending of your location in background. It means that you will not receive warnies that occur around you.
• warnies reception radius for my location: if you enable the sending of your location in background, you can set the warnies reception radius for your location
• use my location: enable/disable the use of your location to locate you on the map
• see only warnies in my culture: enable/disable the display of warnies that are only in your culture. As Warnygo is international, you may see warnies that are not translated in your culture. If you enable this option, Warnygo will not display warnies not translated in your culture on the start screen and in the warnyplace
Press the edit button to update the following settings:
• user name: you can update your username anytime
• e-mail: you can update your e-mail anytime. In this case, you will have to go through the validation process again by confirming your e-mail address in order to validate you account
